Riffle Notes publishes practical fly fishing coverage with a clear separation between editorial judgment and commercial influence. The desk chooses subjects for reader usefulness, seasonal relevance, field context, and the quality of the question they help answer. A page should tell a reader what to notice, what to check, and where uncertainty remains.

Articles are written and edited for clarity. Claims about access, conservation, safety, regulations, or conditions should be checked against appropriate local or primary information before a trip. The site may update a page when a factual detail changes; the visible date and structured metadata identify the publication state used by the build.

Corrections are welcome. Send the URL, quote the disputed passage, and include a reliable source or first-hand context when possible. Corrections are made in the source generator and rebuilt across the static site. See the contact page for the editorial channel.
