Toccoa River Wade Trips

toccoa-river-wade-trip.jpg

Although most will argue the finest way to fish the Toccoa River is by drift boat, the Toccoa River still offers plenty of productive water fly flying while wading. Reel Job Fishing runs full day guided fly fishing trips for trout on the Toccoa River. Besides all the public access points on the Toccoa River, Reel Job Fishing also has access to private sections that can easily be waded for some great Toccoa River trout fishing. Let it be known there are instances when we'll recommend wading over floating the Toccoa River. During certain times of the year it can be more productive and save time to wade fish and concentrate on a smaller section of water. Reel Job Fishing's fly fishing guides are well known for being the top professionals on the Toccoa River. Feel free to check out our Testimonials Page or even call The Fish Hawk in Atlanta, Georgia's largest fly fishing establishment.

The average size Toccoa River rainbow and brown trout runs between 6-12 inches. However, don't make the mistake of thinking that's all you'll run into on our guide trips. Our photo gallery will prove otherwise. We recommend fishing a fly rod of 9' in length. The size rods we generally use range from 3-5 weights. In most cases you'll be equipped to have your reels loaded with a weight forward floating line. Try to book your trips during the week if you plan on booking a guided wading trip on the Toccoa River. Weekdays generally have less angler traffic on the river and allow us to provide you with a better overall experience. If you can't book it during the week we'll either try to access some of our private water access on the Toccoa River or recommend booking a guided float trip instead.

Reel Job Fishing's guiding style focuses on teaching our clients as much about fly fishing as possible during our guide trips. We want you to catch fish, but we also want you to understand why and how you were successful, so you can come away from the trip a more confident and competent fly angler.  Check out further Toccoa River guide trip details below and book your next trip with Reel Job Fishing. We guarantee you'll be 100% satisfied with our guide service.
