River Trips

The majority of our Georgia river fishing trips take place on the Toccoa River tailwater.  Reel Job Fishing offers professionally guided fly fishing trips on the Toccoa River for trout.  Float trips on the Toccoa River are the most popular guided trips, however we also offer wade trips on the Toccoa River for anglers who have time constraints or enjoy wading.

Toccoa River Wade Trips

toccoariverwadetrip2.jpgAlthough most will argue the finest way to fish the Toccoa River is by drift boat, the river still offers plenty of productive water wading.   Besides all the public access points Reel Job Fishing has access to private sections that are easily waded for great Toccoa River fly fishing.  Let it be known there are instances when we’ll recommend wading over floating the Toccoa River.  During certain times of the year it can be more productive to concentrate on a smaller section of water.

The average size Toccoa River trout runs between 6-11 inches.  However, don’t make the mistake of thinking that’s all you’ll run into on our guided trips.  Our photo gallery will tell otherwise.  We recommend fishing a fly rod of 9’ in length.  The size rods we use generally range from 3-5 weights.    In most cases you’ll be better equipped to have your reels loaded with a weight forward floating fly line.
