Parksville Lake Fishing Guide

Parksville Lake, also known as "Ocoee Lake" is a fall and winter bass fisherman’s paradise. The lake has good numbers of spotted and largemouth bass, and anglers can really catch a lot of good fish during the cooler months of the year.  Parksville Lake is located just outside of Georgia inside the Tennessee state line down stream of the Ocoee white-water rafting section in Polk County, TN.

Parksville Lake is fed by the Ocoee River and comprises of 1,930 acres of water.  The lake has several creeks that feed the reservoir and there's a large amount of lay downs and other bass habitat for anglers to target.  This lake is relatively unknown in terms of popularity when compared to the other Tennessee lakes throughout the state.

Reel Job Fishing provides guided bass fishing trips on Parksville Lake throughout the year, but concentrates the majority of our guided bass trips during the fall and winter months.  We feel this is the best time to fish Parksville Lake. When the bass fishing is hot, which it generally is during the cooler months, we catch very good numbers of bass during our guided fishing trips.  If you’re interested in getting away from the crowds and wanting to have a great day of bass fishing in solitude, Parksville Lake is the lake you should visit.

Fishing Tackle & Gear Used

Although our primary tackle used is conventional gear we welcome fly fishermen, especially during the peak fishing months.  However, fly clients need to understand that their casting skill level will significantly determine their success on the lake.  If you know how to double-haul and you consider yourself an advanced fly caster, you’ll be fine.
