Lake Lanier Fishing Guide

lake-lanier-fishing-guide.jpg

Reel Job Fishing runs guided bass fishing trips on Lake Lanier in Georgia year round. Its large size allows us many different fishing options to choose from for our bass clients. With over 55 boat rams to choose from, our Lake Lanier bass guides can access the lake where the bass fishing is the hottest. Quite often we can start out in one area of the lake fishing, and we never have to venture out onto the main lake at all. This allows us to stay away from the heavy boat traffic and target low pressured bass that are easier to catch.

Lake Lanier always has some type of top water bass bite in the mornings and late evenings, whether it's stripers, largemouth or spotted bass. Because of this, we always keep a fluke or sammy tied on at all times. If you're wanting to target the magnum spotted bass on Lake Lanier though, our weapon of choice is the drop-shot rig. Drop-shotting points and targeting brush piles using our electronics is hard to beat for putting big bass and numbers in the boat.

Lake Lanier also offers great dock fishing for bass fishermen, with its huge number of lakefront homeowners. If you love dock flipping or pitching, Lake Lanier is a boat dock paradise for bass fishermen. Every pocket on the lake has dock after docks lining the shore. If you're wanting to improve your flipping and pitching with jigs, shakey-heads or plastics there's endless places to go for honing your skills. Lake Lanier is also a great lake for bass fisherman that enjoy spinnerbait, trick worm, fish head spin or carolina rig fishing.

Lake "Sidney" Lanier encompasses 38,000 acres of water and is fed by the Chestatee River. It has over 692 miles of shoreline that stretches thorugh five counties: Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Gwinnett and Lumpkin. Over 7.5 million people per year visit Lake Lanier for its fishing and recreational activities. Since the completion of the lake in 1956, Lake Lanier has held major bass fishing tournaments for B.A.S.S., Hungry Fisherman, Red Man, Bass Anglers Invitational, BFL Bass Fishing League, and last years FLW Forest Wood Cup. Lake Lanier is well known for its aqua blue colored water and trophy spotted bass. Book your guided bass fishing trip today on Lake Lanier with Reel Job Fishing, and experience a bass fishing trip you'll always remember.

List of Lakes we Guide

Reel Job Fishing also offers guided fly fishing and conventional fishing trips for bass on Lake Blue Ridge, Lake Nottely, Lake Chatuge, Lake Burton, Carters Lake, Lake Chickamauga, Lake Hiawassee, Parksville Lake and Lake Nantahala. There are times when certain lakes are fishing better than others during the year. Because of this, don't be surprised if Reel Job Fishing recommends to our clients one of our other lakes for their guide trip date. It's our job to make sure your in the right location for optimum fishing.

Fishing Tackle & Gear Used

Although our primary tackle used is conventional gear we do welcome fly fishermen, especially during peak months. However, clients need to understand that their fly casting level will significantly determine their success on the lake. If you know how to double haul and you consider yourself an advanced fly caster, you'll be fine.
