Lake Hiawassee Fishing Guide

lake-hiawassee-bass-fishing.jpg

Lake Hiawassee is located in western North Carolina, and is known for its spectacular smallmouth bass fishery. We love guiding on Lake Hiawassee because we're smallmouth bass specialists. Hiawassee Lake is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest, which means there's very little lake houses and docks on this lake. The lake is fed primarily by the Hiawassee River and Nottely River. Endless steep rocking bank lines and points provide perfect habitat for smallmouth bass, and its created a thriving bronze-back population on Lake Hiawassee.

Our bass guides fish tubes, jigs, drop-shot rigs, flukes, crankbaits, float n' fly, shakey heads, and spinnerbaits, which all work well on Lake Hiawassee. But don't be shocked when you set the hook and you've got a trophy spotted bass or largemouth bass on your line. Lake Hiawassee also has it's fair share of these black bass as well. If you want to bass fish on a lake where you're not going to see a lot of boat traffic and other fishermen, Lake Hiawasse is your answer. Book a trip today with Reel Job Fishing, Lake Hiawassee's top bass fishing guide service.

List of Lakes we Guide

Reel Job Fishing also offers guided fly fishing and conventional fishing trips for bass on: Lake Blue Ridge, Lake Nottely, Lake Chatuge, Lake Burton, Carters Lake, Lake Chickamauga, Parksville Lake and Lake Nantahala. There are times when certain lakes are fishing better than others during the year. Because of this, don't be surprised if Reel Job Fishing recommends to our clients one of our other lakes for their guide trip date. It's our job to make sure your in the right location for optimum fishing. Reel Job Fishing takes this very seriously and we think it sets us apart from other guide services.

Fishing Tackle & Gear Used

Although our primary tackle used is conventional gear we do welcome fly fishermen, especially during the peak fishing months. However, fly clients need to understand that their fly casting skill level will significantly determine their success on the lake. If you know how to double-haul and you consider yourself an advanced fly caster, you'll be fine.
