Lake Burton Fishing Guide Lake Burton is one of our smaller lakes we guide on in North Georgia for bass, but don't let its small size fool you on its unbelievable ability to produce huge largemouth and spotted bass. This Georgia Power lake keeps very consistent water levels year round thanks to its heavy political pull from Georgia Power employee lakefront homeowners. Another characteristic that sets Lake Burton apart from most of our other lakes we guide on is the extreme amount of fixed docks and boat houses built on the lake. It's absolutely the perfect place to fish big swimbaits and other reaction type lures alongside these bass sanctuaries. ![]() If your goal is to land a trophy bass on a public reservoir there is no better place to do it in Georgia than Lake Burton. Another cool and rare fishing opportunity you have on Lake Burton is the chance to catch a trophy brown trout on our guide trips. The brown trout were stocked by the GADNR to help control the thriving population of blue back herring in the lake and they have grown big and fat from the abundant food source. There also is a nice resident population of pickeral in the lake, which is another very cool and rare species to find in the south for anglers to target. Lake Burton is a beautiful lake surrounded by steep mountains and extravagant lake homes which gives bass anglers great backdrops to gaze upon while they're out chasing down the big bass. Lake Burton is loaded with brushpiles, points, humps and creeks, which offers bass anglers who fish here, to target bass using a variety of fishing tactics and lures. We love to guide on Lake Burton and we welcome you to come visit this unique bass fishery with one of our bass fishing guides.
