Fly Fishing Disciples
Reel Job Fishing created the fly fishing disciple’s page with our traveling clients in mind. We understand how hard it is to determine how reputable a guide is these days. Each one of our featured guides upholds our mission of guiding at the professional level. They impressed us and we know they’ll impress you. If you ever find yourself traveling near one of our featured guides we highly recommend giving them a call. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Ben has a passion for float fishing. Having grown up in Colorado, he
spent his youth fishing the many famous trout streams of that state.
He moved to Jackson Hole from Colorado in 2002, on a mission to
becoming a guide. He has been exploring the Snake River and
surrounding waters ever since.
As my experience grew in fly fishing I wanted to pursue other
challenges in the industry and the world of guided fly fishing. So in
2002 I met Captain Bruce Chard and started fly fishing in the Florida
Keys. As we hunted the gin clear waters of the Keys and I hooked my
first tarpon I knew my life had changed. At that moment I knew these
were the beasts I wanted to guide for! So I moved my business from
North Georgia to the Florida Keys the next year!
Stalking the gin clear skinny water flats of Key West & the Florida
Keys for “the big three” has been my passion since relocating to the
Keys in 1983. The first three years I spent learning to navigate the
myriads of shallow channels and cuts which dissect the backcountry
flats. All the while I constantly studied the habits and movements of
the tarpon, bonefish, and permit.
Captain Bruce is a full time Florida Keys Flats guide. For over 16
years now he has guided many anglers to their catch of a lifetime.
Being a Federation of Fly Fishers MASTER Certified Fly Casting
Instructor, Capt Bruce has taught many fly fishing schools
internationally in the Bahamas, Guatemala, and all over the U.S. As a
paid speaker at sportsman shows around the U.S., Bruce has had the
opportunity to establish a working relationship with many of the
largest companies in the fly fishing industry, leading to the
development of the Capt Bruce Chard Professional Grand Slam Series of
fly lines.
