Erik HoveTrout Guide
Guide Profile:![]() Erik Hove is a native of Duluth, GA, and has been avidly fly fishing in and around North Georgia since he was 12 years old. His passion for fly fishing developed because of his love for adventure, nature, the challenge of the sport, and the great times he has had on the water with his lifelong fishing buddies. He is graduating from Emory University (2011) with a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. Erik completed the National Outdoor Leadership School/Orvis Fly Fishing Guide School on the Green River and in Wyoming's Wind River Range. He has spent considerable time fly fishing in the sports top destinations around the world, including New Zealand, Patagonia, Bahamas, and in several states out west. Erik has been featured on the Pursuit Channel with Reel Job Fishing and has recently written a comprehensive management plan for the Toccoa River Tailwater that has been considered by the GADNR, TU, and other interested parties. On his off days you'll find him spending time with his future wife, fly fishing (He can't get enough!), hitting the links to play golf, investing in real estate, and he is passionate about sharing Jesus while volunteering with the high school youth group at his church. "To me fly fishing is not just a sport, but a life style. Every day I get to spend on the water is a blessing in which I get to chase big and beautiful trout, have a great time on the water, enjoy God's creation, and learn something new. As much as I love holding a fly rod, I may enjoy guiding and teaching the sport to others even more. I take pride in my work ethic, patience, and my passion for helping others catch their trout of a lifetime." Erik Hove Guide Photos |
