Trophy Trout at NCF

Posted By on March 31, 2011

Boy have we been getting a ton of rain lately. I’m not complaining but very gracious for it because I know it has to be filling up the water table. Keeping our flows above average on the streams and continuing to get further rainfall is the key to keeping cold water temperatures when the hot days of summer arrive. We’ve had a couple trip cancellations due to high water, but this past Tuesday I was fortunate to get on the water at Noontootla Creek Farms with Carolyn Emery for some great trout fishing.

Noontootla Creek Farms with Reel Job Fishing

Carolyn landed this beautiful 23 inch rainbow at NCF a couple hours into our guide trip. It was her personal best to date. The fishing really fell into place on Tuesday and Carolyn and I worked great as a team hooking up with lots of trout for the day. We had a beast of a trout well over 24 inches at the end of the day that took a tiny emerger nymph that will surely have Carolyn coming back to get a rematch battle with that hog.

It was great fishing with you again Carolyn. You really made my job on the water very enjoyable.

Remember everyone that the terrestrial dry fly fishing at NCF is just around the corner. We are booking up fast so you need to call us very soon if you want to witness the spectacular and heart pounding dry fly fishing out here. Check out the video on our website on the Noontootla Creek Farms page.

Keep it Reel,

  1. Great job! Carolyn is a very studious angler and I am sure she learned a lot with the day on the water. Always great to get on some fish like that as well!
