Reel Job Fishing Trip Reports

Just finished up with Mike Homiak out at Noontootla Creek Farms today. It was his first time with a fly rod in his hand, and I think he may be hooked after today’s fishing. Below is a really nice rainbow we landed after a long battle that took us downstream. We taped the trout at 24″ and released her unharmed.

Little green stoneflies, a couple golden stoneflies and a few hendrickson mayflies were hatching today. A few rises here and there, but not a big enough hatch to get the trout really rising heavy. We had a few shots with dries but we couldn’t get the right presentation and drift to take them on top. Cut Mike some slack though, he did after all land this trophy above. Pretty awesome for his first time.

Bass Fishing Report – By Eric Welch

I fished Lake Parksville yesterday for four hours and landed twenty-five bass. The spawn is over and the bass are ready to feed up for the post-spawn. Fishing continues to stay really hot and we encourage you to book a trip to get in on the action.
