Wackin’ Bass in December

We’ve been having some great bass trips on the lakes lately.  Water temperatures have just begun to dip into the upper 40s and should be in the mid 40s very soon.  This will really turn on the float and fly technique we use out on the lake for big bass during the winter.  It produces some giant bass and allows anglers to fish the rig with either a fly rod or with modified conventional gear.  Just the other day Eric Welch had a smallmouth bass to the boat that was sure to weigh over five pounds.  If that doesn’t get your blood pumping I don’t know what will.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, don’t let the cold weather keep you from having a blast wackin bass and trout during the colder months.  All you have to do is dress according to the weather forecast and your ready to catch loads of fish.  Plus, this time of year really diminishes the crowds of anglers on the water and you’ll have the lakes, rivers, and streams to yourself.

We encourage all you hardcore anglers out there to give us  a call for your next guided bass or trout trip.  For more information click on the link at the top of the blog menu.  It will take you back to the main website where you can find trip details and rates on all our guided trips.  You also can click on the link below.  Hope everyone is doing well and had a Merry Christmas!

Keep it Reel,
