Hide and Seek Blue Ridge Smallies

Posted By on February 26, 2011

With the lake being down 68 feet all winter, the smallies have been playing hide and seek from the anglers. But with last weeks pretty days and warmer weather there starting show up. The water temperature has jumped up to 49-51 degrees, and the smallmouth bass know that the pre-spawn is near. I caught 18 fish Thursday with two on float n fly and 16 on jerkbaits. Book now for some hard hitting smallmouth action in March and April.

Also Kent is away this weekend awaiting the newest member of Reel Job Fishing.
