Korkers Predator Wading Boot

Every once in a while you run into a fly fishing product that totally rocks. Well, Korkers NEW Predator Wading Boot is by far the best wading boot that I’ve ever run accross. I had a chance to help design this boot and it was such a pleasure dealing with a company that actually cared about what I had to say and appreciated my time and input. The NEW Predator Wading Boot encompasses the latest innovative technology down to every detail.
I took the Predator boots on my trip out west and put them through multiple types of terrain, in and out of the water, and I have to say I was completely blown away on how well them performed. The boots were so comfortable, I literally wore the boots from the time we left in the morning until we returned late in the evening. Heck, I was even wearing them into restaurants and hanging out in them because they were so comfortable. I felt like I had a pair of hiking boots on. I really liked how fast they dried out as well. I wet waded a lot during the trip and my socks and the boots would be completely dry by the time we got back at the end of the day.
Fishermen who want the latest in high performance footwear and features should take a serious look at these boots the next time they visit their fly shop. You have my word you won’t find a better company or wading boot.

Kent,
Could not agree more with your post about these boots and the company. These boots are what I personally wear while guiding and while exploring new waters in the backcountry. They are very comfortable and durable. Love the lace system!
A quick word about the company. We had just placed an order for the boots to start carrying them at the fly shop and happened to book a large corporate guide trip. The clients advised me that none of their group would have any boots or waders. The weather was good enough that I knew we would be wet wading, so I was not worried about the waders. But as a guide, you know that wading boots are an essential for stream safety. I contacted Korkers and they advised me that they had a rental boot program, where we could buy the boots at a discounted rate to use as rental boots (they actually have RENTAL written on the upper section of the boot in big red letters so you do not have to worry about mixing them with your regular boots.) I got all the sizes from the client and ordered 16 pairs of the boots because I knew that we would still be able to rent them at the shop for other people to use if they needed them. I gave the company very little notice due to the timing of the trip and they were still able to get the boots to me in time. Even set up a tracking program with UPS so we could keep up with the shipment to make sure there wouldn’t be any last second surprises, like no boots for the trip! They were indeed a pleasure to work with and kept a “can do” attitude throughout the whole process.
We continue to rent the boots and we really sell alot of them as well. Great products and great company to work with. And if your readers have ever worked at a fly shop, they will know that is a rare combination!
Keep up the good work Kent and hope to see you on the water again soon.

P.S. Congratulations on your recent marriage!
When I’m wading I usually have a couple of expensive digital cameras around my neck. One slip can cost me a couple of grand. My Korkers give me such great traction and ankle support I can think about shooting and not wading. I wont wear anything else.
