Yuk Bug – Fly Pattern
Posted By Kent Klewein on January 26, 2009
The Yuk Bug in my opinion is a real under rated fly pattern. Although it is primarily an attractor wet fly pattern, its functionality covers a wide range of fishing situations. Try this pattern instead of a woolly bugger next time your out on the water trout fishing. I guarantee it’s seen less often by trout compared to most patterns, and its size will generally increase the overall average size of your catch. Small trout will take it just as quickly as large trout, and that’s a characteristic you want to have in a fly pattern your fishing.
