Trout Fishing

Posted By on January 21, 2011

Trout Fishing at Noontootla Creek Farms yesterday in North Georgia was a blast. My good friend and client Paul Messer booked me for a full day. As usual we fished are butts off and enjoyed every minute of it. It didn’t turn out to be a big fish day but we did put seventeen trout in the net with plenty more that were unbuttoned.

Water was gin clear and downsizing our tippet made a difference in getting hookups. The most important factor was getting the flies down to the fish and making a good presentation. Blue Wing Olive patterns seemed to be at the top of food menu, but we did catch some fish on other fly patterns such as this prince nymph shown above and streamers.

I’ve never had an unsatisfied customer at Noontootla Creek Farms. For more information about trout fishing Noontootla Creek Farms please visit our website for details. I’m heading out of town this weekend for my wife’s baby shower and to pick up some new furniture for the cabin. Our next post on Sunday will be a write up about Eric Welch’s recent fishing trip to Dale Hollow Lake for big smallmouth and Kentucky spotted bass.
