Toccoa River Watershed Coalition

The Toccoa River Watershed Coalition (TRWC) has made great strides in the past couple weeks thanks to it’s great board members, and its countless supportors emailing our state representatives. The TRWC has a petition available on their website that you can download in a .PDF, sign and mail back to them. It’s very important for everyone that cares about the future health of the river to take the five minutes needed to complete the form and drop it in the mailbox.
They recently had a meeting with some of our key state representatives and they said they’re ready to support the Toccoa River recovery and agree to move in getting special regulations and a updated trout management plan put in place. But before they can, they need to see more support by signed petitions and emails to them stating it’s what the georgia citizens want as a whole. In laymen terms, they need to know their voter base supports the TRWC efforts.
They also recently created a Facebook Fan Page for TRWC. Click the link to like the page. I’m sure they’ll be posted updated information about their efforts.

All the hardships the Toccoa River has taken over the years can be reversed by your support. Please support this great cause, become a member if you can, and please in the very least download the petition, sign it and mail it back to TRWC. That in itself can make a difference. I’ll do my best to keep everybody updated at this time. I’m not on the board since there’s so many people already, but I’ve talked with board members and I’ve told them I’ll do everything I can to support them and spread the word. Please pass this on to anyone you think will be interested.

Click the Toccoa River Watershed Coalition link at the top of the post. When you get to their website, click on the Actions button on the left. You find .PDF’s for membership and the petition. Thanks for supporting the Toccoa River and TRWC.
