Toccoa River Trout Report

Posted By on April 25, 2010

We’ve had some awesome guide trips fishing the Toccoa River lately. It’s been fishing so good lately, that we’ve even been fishing it ourselves on our days off. Some days we’ve got into some pretty good dry fly fishing, while other days there’s not been a good bite on top. Bottom-line some sections are showing more hatching bugs than others and that’s the key to catching fish on top. Hopefully shortly though, the entire river will be fishing great with dry dropper. Until then though, you better be prepared to nymph fish if you want to get into good numbers of trout.

Below is a smorgasbord of pictures that we’ve taken that last couple floats of our catches. It’s not all of them but some good ones, and as always, we had some big guys that managed to spit the hook before reaching the net.
