Toccoa River – Blk. Caddis Hatch

Posted By on January 27, 2009

The long awaited Mother’s Day Caddisfly hatch is right around the corner.  We could start seeing sporadic black caddis hatching any day now.  Each year the hatch moves around a little, but you can’t go wrong to book your guided float trip during the 2nd or 3rd week of February.  Our favorite trout species on the Toccoa River, the Brown Trout, really key in on this hatch.  It’s a great time to catch above average fish as well.  I’ve already tied up several killer patterns for the hatch.  Give me a call and I’ll schedule you in for this spectacular hatch.
