Reel Moments on the Water
Posted By Kent Klewein on April 7, 2011
When my client cancelled at the last minute the other day, I gave my good friend Louis Cahill a call. I wanted to pay it forward a little for all the hard work he’s put in for me the last few years, lugging around camera equipment. We decided to spend a few hours fishing at Noontootla Creek Farms for the day. Rather than fish hard as usual, we opted instead to just enjoy each others company on the water and the beauty of the sport. It really was a welcome change to our normal hardcore fishing style we generally carry with us on the water at all times.
Plus to be honest, I really needed a day to not worry about numbers, big fish, and the job of guiding. Next time you find yourself on the river, try to forget about landing that fish of a lifetime for a change, and take in your surroundings with all of your senses. You’ll be surprised how refreshing and enjoyable your day of fishing turns out to be.

I’ll be at NCF tomorrow guiding and I’ll be ready to get back to that hardcore mentality. Looks like it’s going to be a late night of tying flies, but it will be well worth it to see the freshly tied up flies in the corner of the trout’s mouths tomorrow.
To book a trip at Noontootla Creek Farms and witness these beautiful trout in person visit our website for the details.
