NCF Guide Trips

Posted By on June 22, 2011

We’ve had some pretty good trips at NCF lately and the dry fly fishing is starting to pick up. I’ve got three more trips this week and I’ll post on how the fishing goes. Got some good news yesterday that the TVA is supposed to be starting to let water out of the bottom of the lake on June 23rd. If this is true it’s going to be just in the nick of time to avoid any fish kills on the river.

Fishing should really pick up on the Toccoa River once they start generating consistent cold water. Hopefully the river bottom will get flushed out as well, and we’ll start to see some better bug hatches on the river. I’ll be guiding on the Toccoa River again very soon. I was pushing alot of my trips until the TVA fixed the pin-stock for better fishing.

  1. Those are some nice fish Kent. Can’t wait to get back to NCF. It’s good to hear that the repair on the pin-stock is nearing an end. Looking forward to seeing the Toccoa in it’s usual glory. Any word on the cicadas???

  2. Kent,
I was wondering if you would post the 2nd picture on your blog. I enjoyed my trip with you earlier this month and catching that beautiful female and all of the others we landed.

Folks – Kent is an awesome guide and you owe yourself a trip to NCF or the tailwater. You’ll remember it forever!

  3. Justin,

Still no show for Cicadas. I’m afraid they will not be showing up this year. Still a small chance they will hatch but I’m not counting on it happening.

    James,

I’ve posted your beauty of a trout on this post. I was saving it for tomorrow but I’m sure I’ll get more photos from my trip this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thank you for leaving a nice testimonial as well. I’ll keep you posted on the Toccoa River.

  4. Cicadas are here!!!
