Father & Son Guide Trip

Posted By on March 19, 2011

Had a really rewarding day of guiding Hugh Smith and his son Ethan today at NCF for a half day. It was their first fly fishing trip for trout. I had a ball teaching them the fundamentals and seeing them landing their first trout on the fly. The trout at NCF are really giving us some fierce battles lately. If you’re looking to chase these fish downstream and end up with worn out arms, now is the time to do it. Hope you guys had a wonderful stay at Brasstown Valley Resort.

Ethan, I’m really sorry your big fish slipped out of your hands before we could snap a photograph. I promise you its happened to all of us at some point. Great job on staying focused and being patient. I was super impressed with your desire to learn the art of the fly rod.
