Chattooga River – Fishing Report
Posted By Kent Klewein on May 20, 2009
The Chattooga River is fishing very well right now. The other day a friend of mine landed around 50 fish on dry fly. Crowds have been heavy but there are plenty of fish in the river to make up for that. Bugs have been hatching and the trout are looking up. If you haven’t fished this great Delayed Harvest section of trout water check it out. It’s worth the drive for the chance to catch brook, brown, and rainbow trout in such stunning scenery.
Check out the Chattooga Delayed Harvest Map below. I had to turn it horizontal so it wouldn’t shrink it. Click on the photo to enlarge it.
