Bow River Trout
Posted By Kent Klewein on July 18, 2009
Here’s some pictures from our honeymoon. We fished two days and landed some really nice fish. Several fish were lost at the net, not pointing figures at the guide, but I don’t make it a habit to run my net down the leader to net fish, nor pull the trout in by hand when they’re still hot. What are you going to do though. It was a beautiful place to fish with my wife.

The trip went by way too quick, but Cari and I were really happy we decided to head to Canada instead of the typical beach honeymoon.

Beautiful pictures Kent, hope if I every go down that bizarre road of matrimony my honeymoon looks something close to that.
Oh, and leave that poor guide alone Kent, I’m sure it has to be hard to live up to the lofty expectations of a professional guide such as yourself!
Chris,
Don’t get me wrong Cari and I had a great time fishing in Banff. It just was a little more important than usual for us to get pictures of the trout we caught on our honeymoon. We lost, broke off, or dropped more than a few fish before we got a memorable photo…, do to circumstances out of our hands. And yes, your right about me having high standards, but I feel if your a professional guide you should always bring your game at a 100%. That means not rigging my fly up on a leader with four tailing loop knots from the previous day. We were paying over $500 dollars a day before tip
Time to expand Kent, buy him out and bring some professional quality out there where it’s needed! Banff, and Glacier are still my two favorite places, jealousy isn’t a stong enough word…
