Blue Wing Olive Emerger

Winter offers fly anglers great Blue Wing Olive (BWO) action on our rivers and streams. There’s just something about catching trout on top during the winter that makes it special. Tie up some of these and have them ready next time your out on the river this winter and see some rising fish. Chances are a pattern like this one will work.

Calling for 5-7″ of snow later this weekend in North Georgia and then freezing rain on top of that.  It should be interesting trying to get to on the water next week, but I’ll find a way.
