Big Fish Pics This Week

Posted By on May 23, 2011

I wanted to post a few of our big fish shots from some of my last few trips. I’ve been guiding everyday and not off again for another week so bare with me on the inconsistent posts. The Toccoa River is fishing good one day and bad the next. Algae is still flowing down the river making it tough to keep your flies clean. Morning and evening hatches of tan caddis have been bringing trout to the surface. Our mid-day sulphurs are still not showing up in good numbers yet, but hopefully will soon. Water temperatures are rising pretty good with the warm weather, and the TVA really needs to finish the pin-stock so they can start releasing water out of the bottom of the lake. If not soon, we are looking at another possible fish kill. I’m staying optimistic at the moment. Noontootla Creek Farms is fishing really well. Terrestrial fishing still isn’t in full swing yet but it’s not far off. The trout are looking very healthy and are fighting very well. We’ve had several twenty-two’s, twenty-three’s and today we taped a 25″ rainbow. I’ll post again as soon as I can. Thank for checking out the blog.

Give me a call if you’re interested in a day of guided fly fishing on either the Toccoa River or Noontootla Creek Farms. I’ll do my best to put you on a trout like these above.

Keep it Reel,
