Another Snow Day

Posted By on February 13, 2010

This year has been crazy with the amount of snow we’ve been getting. There’s more is in the forecast this coming week, and I have to say I’m really ready for spring to get here.

However, conditions have been much worse for my friends up north. They’ve had to deal with real cabin fever from the double-digit inches of snow thats fallen around them.  Our water table has to be sitting high at this point, and they should provide us with great summer flows if we continue to get average rainfall for the remainder of the season.  If that’s the case, dealing with all the white stuff and icey roads will have been well worth it.

Upper Toccoa River Winter Wonderland

This coming week will be busy tying flies and guiding four days.  I really hope the snow forecast is wrong.  I’d prefer some sunshine and warmer temperatures for my clients.  Expect water levels to be above average up here if your planning on fishing within the next day or so.
