| February 11, 2012 Read This Post...

Had a awesome day on Carters Lake today. We landed 38 spotted bass, 1 largemouth bass, and a mack daddy striper that weighed 30.13lbs. The Striper was caught on 7lb Gamma Touch fluorocarbon line. We caught all our bass on jigs and shakey heads. Yes, even the Striper was caught on a 5/16 pb/jig. I just [...]

The Mountain Lakes Are Fishing Great

| January 31, 2012 Read This Post...

Despite all the much needed rain that we have been getting the past two months. The lake temps are staying 49-53 degrees and it is keeping the fish biting, even the  largemouths have been moving up feeding. We’ve been catching fish on Blue Ridge, Carters, Hiwassee, Parksville and Lanier the past couple of weeks. The lures [...]

December fishing

| December 21, 2011 Read This Post...

We’ve been busy the past week, putting fish in the boat.  Some days it’s numbers and then some days it’s the big ones. That’s what I love about fall and winter fishing. Im catching  fish on tubes, dropshot, and float-n-fly. Alot of people think once it’s winter time and the water temp gets cold that it’s harder to catch [...]

Fall Fishing on Blue Ridge Lake

| November 23, 2011 Read This Post...

I had the opportunity of guiding Todd Whittler and his father in law this morning for a 1/2 day trip on Blue Ridge. Besides the 20 mph winds, these guys got to see how great fall fishing can be in the mountains. The wind kept us off most of our good areas to fish, so [...]

Float-n-Fly Fishing For Trophy Bass

| October 12, 2011 Read This Post...

For you bass fisherman that think when the weather gets cold its time to put the boat and fishing gear in storage, I suggest you do a little research about the float-n-fly rig. We catch some trophy fish in the winter, when the water temperatures reach 65 degrees all the way down to 40 degrees. If you’re [...]

Fall Fishing on Lake Parksville

| October 4, 2011 Read This Post...

I had the opportunity to get out today on Lake Parksville with my fishing buddy Mike. All I can say is the fall bass bite and pattern has started, and it’s only going to get better as we move toward the months of November and December. Lake Parksville water temperatures were 71-72 degrees and the lake [...]
